Who knew, not even 24 hours after posting last, it would dump on us? Not I! But it did and I followed through....sort of. I haven't had the time to scope out and purchase snow pants, therefore, preventing me from even THINKING of laying down in the snow to make a snow angel! But I did get around to making Snow Ice Cream! It was David's first experience with snow ice cream and my first in a really really long time! We even ate it as our "after school snack". It was fun to say that phrase again. :) Here are some pictures to document our adventures:

He enjoyed it. I MORE than enjoyed it. And I'm staring at some really fresh, un-walked-on snow that is tempting me to make more! SUPER DELICIOUS!
O, Wow! You even used the good vanilla. I've got to get me some of that. Do you have a supplier? I bet it was tasty.
ReplyDeleteOh it is delicious vanilla! Brooke's parents brought it back for David and I when they went on a cruise to Mexico and we watched their kids! We are going to be so sad when it's gone!
ReplyDeleteYum.
ReplyDeletewho ever heard of snow ice cream??? is it like shaved ice??
ReplyDeleteIt's a Foote family favorite! :) I don't know where we learned about it, but Taylor was the Snow Ice Cream master when we were kids...in fact I think this is one of the only times I've ever made it! It's sort of like shaved ice...but better. :) Next time you come to Rexy and there is snow I'll make you some!
ReplyDeleteThis post makes me happy and blasts me back to the past when my little kids would come in sopping wet from playing and rolling in the snow, heaping their pants and jackets by the patio door and getting busy with a bowl of snow in the kitchen..you guys were always making or creating something......and the beat goes on...
